The Clutter Challenge!

I used to think that organization was like eye color.  Genetics determined what eye color a person would have, and genetics determined whether or not that person would have organizational skills or not.  I spent many years assuming that my life was disorderly because I was just "wired that way."  What I finally realized is, that while some people might still be more naturally inclined towards order, organization is a learned skill.

A few years ago, I decided that I had had enough of the chaos.  I discovered that clutter-free spaces gave me a sense of peace, and I wanted my home and life to feel that way.  Thus began my quest for order, and the skill called organization.

I began viewing organization like any other thing I wanted to learn, and started researching.  I checked out books from the library, I watched YouTube videos, and I read blogs.  I started incorporating some of what I was learning into my life.

Fast-forward to today.  My environment has definitely improved, but I still have a loooong way to go.  I think one element that has been missing is accountability.  I figured that since accountability is what got me on this blog ride, I should probably make a public declaration... I am joining Ruth's 31 DAYS TO A CLUTTER FREE LIFE CHALLENGE!
